Kendriya Vidyalaya is one of the most famous Central Board (CBSE) school in India, as it is in operation from past 50 years. Kendriya Vidyalaya is famous as its main motive to educate all children mainly to central govt employees children.

Most of the Defense Service personnel are transferred from one place to another quite frequently hence it become quite difficult for the parents to search for new school in new city. Kendriya Vidyalaya is famous as it helps such employees to transfer their children from one KV to another across India.

Currently in India their are more than 1100 Kendriya Vidyalaya across India and it provide education to more than 1 lakh children. The education cost is not that high and the standard of teaching is at par to other private schools which take more than double fees and a huge amount to 1 time fees when children joins the school for the first time.

Kendriya Vidyalya Sanghatan has started online process for admission. Parents who want to know the number of vacancies in certain KV and want to enroll their children for the same can now do it online.  However the link will open once the registration will start for all the classes.

Priorities in Admission
Kendriya Vidyalaya always give priorities to children of Government employees below is the details of priorities

A) KV under Civil / Defense sector
1 > Kendriy Vidyalaya gives first priority of children of these sector whose parents are central govt. employees or ex-serviceman or if their parents are officials in Foreign nation and are invited by Govt of India.
OR
2 > If their parents are have transferable and non-transferable job in ay of the  Autonomous Bodies / Public Sector Undertaking/Institute of
Higher Learning of the Government of India.
OR
3 > Parents belong to State Govt. employees
OR
4 > Parents belong to Autonomous Bodies / Public Sector Undertaking/Institute of
Higher Learning of the State Government
OR
5 > Children of any other category

B > KV under Public Sector Undertakings / Institute of Higher Learning (For Example Kendriya Vidyalaya ISRO)

Children whose parents are working in the sponsor of that Kendriya Vidyalaya. In the above example, in simple teams Children whose parents are working in ISRO are given first preference in KV ISRO.

If still their are vacant seats the process will follow as it was for part 1 i.e first Central Govt. Employees and then State Govt Employees.

Reservation in Admission
Priority will be given if the student belongs to SC/ ST or if Physically Challenged.
15% for Schedule Cast
7.5% for Schedule Tribe
3% for Physically Challenged
